Blackstone Products, the trailblazing manufacturer in outdoor griddle cooking, has released a new combination griddle.
Although quite a departure from its existing lineup of products, this pellet grill and griddle combo looks like a winner!
Even though combination cookers are nothing new to Blackstone, this one incorporates a pellet grill and smoker, something entirely new for the Logan, UT manufacturer.
Previous hybridized cookers from Blackstone, like the Air Fryer Griddle Combo and 22" On The Go (griddle) with side burner, have focused on making the cooking experience more convenient by adding things like air fryers, warming drawers, and cooking space on the side burner for deep frying, heating sauces, or keeping chilis, stews, and sauces warm while you focus on griddle cooking.
But the New Blackstone Griddle Pellet Grill Combo almost makes deciding how you want to cook more challenging than what you want to cook.
Take, for instance, the delicious burger.
One of my favorites has always been the Smashburger. But from time to time, a classic grilled burger is what my palate is pining for. With this cooker, I can have a thick, juicy, charred burger cooked on the pellet grill while getting the burger buns buttery and crispy on the griddle side. The combinations are endless for both main and side dishes.
How big is the Blackstone Pellet Grill and Griddle?
The new Blackstone Pellet Grill and Griddle is not small.
On the grilling side, Blackstone boasts 884 square inches of grilling space. To put that in perspective, that's about the same as Traeger Grill's Pro34, Pro 780, Ironwood 885, and Timberline 880. It's also larger than RecTec's Deck Boss 590 and the Weber SmokeFire Sear+ ELX4 Wood-Fired Pellet Grill.
But cooking space isn't the only thing abundant with the Blackstone pellet grill combo.
Its footprint rivals Sasquatch's and the dimensions are massive!
You better have plenty of space in the backyard to keep the device. At 46.5" tall, 33" deep, and 80.5" wide, getting this grill up to the third floor of a Brooklyn Brownstone could be a little tricky.
The size is significant. But don't let the mass of this griddle grill intimidate you. Blackstone has various accessories and built-in feature comforts that should make the ergonomics of cooking far more enjoyable than many of its competitors.
Luxuries like adjustable rack options for the smoker, a foldaway front shelf, tool hooks, a 20-pound pellet hopper with a weather-guarded hopper lid, paper towels, garbage bag holders, and two temperature probes aren't standard inclusions for most manufacturers.
So it's nice to see them included with the original purchase rather than adding them later as accessories.
Where can I find this grill?
Reddit user mikeyphd posted this picture of it at a Lowe's store in California earlier today.
So Lowe's will be carrying it for sure.
I've yet to hear back from Blackstone about which other chains will be carrying it, but you will likely see some iterations of this grill at all the major chains in the near future.
Although I have not yet tested the Blackstone Pellet Grill and Griddle, I can already see how it can be a powerhouse within the space.

In my opinion it needs a bigger griddle section, a 36” would be better size.

That would make for one large cook station!

I recently purchased this, unfortunately I live in an area where the weather is a problem. I cannot find a cover that fits, have you had any luck?

I've not purchased this, and please double check the dimensions and sizing but something like this should work:

I live in Montreal and would like to purchase one, where could I find it.

I'm not sure how available they are at the moment in the US or Canada, but I would check this website from time to time as I'd assume they will start being in stock soon.

Can it be converted to natural gas for the griddle?
Paul Sidoriak
I don't see why not, but would check with them prior to purchasing.
