This Blackstone Air Fryer recipe with fresh corn on the cob is so simple to make it's almost ridiculous!
Blackstone's Air Fryer combo is a 36" griddle with the addition of 3 air fryer baskets. Check out the details of this new grill here.
Fresh corn on the cob is a staple in the summertime when corn is in season.
Using the Blackstone air fryer built into the air fryer griddle combo is perfect for a hot day when you don't want to boil water and heat up your kitchen.
Does fresh corn need to be shucked before cooking in an air fryer?
No!
One of the beauties of cooking corn in the husk is just that. You simply put the fresh corn into the air fryer basket and start cooking.
Should I soak the fresh corn on the cob before I cook it in the air fryer?
Nope!
Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to soak the corn before cooking.
Because both the silk and husk contain moisture there is no need to soak the corn.
I've cooked dozens of ears of corn using this method on the Kamado Joe over hardwood lump charcoal.
The silk and husk actually steam and assist with the cooking.
How long should you cook the corn?
Well, that all depends.
I've found that cooking corn for about 20 minutes is the perfect amount of time in the air fryer combo.
However, that time can vary based on how many ears of corn are cooking at the same time.
A perfect scenario would be to cook two ears of corn in each of the air fry baskets. But as long as you rotate the corn you can cook as many as will fit. Just take care to make certain they get rotated every 5 minutes or so.
Is the corn hard to clean once cooked?
No!
One of the wonderful things about this Blackstone Air Fryer recipe is that the fresh corn on the cob basically cleans itself!
You will want to make sure that when handling the hot corn you are using protective gloves so your hands don't get burned.
