This simple-to-make dish is borderline irresistible and will quickly become a favorite for you to cook in your Ninja Foodi Grill or air fryer. The balance of spice from the jalapeno pepper with the creaminess of the cream cheese and salty bacon makes your mouth yearn for another bite.
Cut the jalapeno peppers lengthwise into two halves
Use a small spoon to scrape and remove all seeds and white veins or other ribs from the pepper
Use a butter knife to cut the cream cheese into a small block that will fit inside the pepper, about 2 tablespoons
Stuff the pepper with the cream cheese by pressing it into the pepper cavity
Sprinkle with BBQ seasoning
Starting at the stem side of the jalapeno pepper wrap the bacon around the cheese to hold it in place stretching the bacon slightly as you wrap
Sprinkle the remaining BBQ seasoning on the bacon wrapping the peppers
Preheat your Ninja Foodi Grill or air fryer to 350F
Place the peppers in the cooker in a single row
Cook for about 10 minutes or until the bacon is cooked to your desired doneness.
Notes
Whenever you are handling jalapenos, it's always good practice to wear gloves as the peppers have oils that can adhere to your skin and make you very uncomfortable if you rub your eyes or other parts of your body. I suggest a disposable food prep glove that you can use and easily discard when done.
